Hello,

I have Oracle8i running on Unix platform. There are around 4million records spread in 4-5 major tables .. The SELECT statement to extract the active records from these 4-5 tables runs well and has a good performance. The SELECT statement produces around 3million records .. now these 3million records have to be inserted into a table. I have tried inserting DIRECT-LOAD method ..but the performance isn't good. Please can anyone suggest a alternate method.
